Woman refuses to invite couple to her Christmas party after being snubbed: ‘I’m just punishing them’

A woman didn’t invite a couple who “snubbed” her from their wedding to her Christmas party.

She was curious Reddit’s “Am I the A******? (AITA)” forum. For nearly a decade, she has been throwing an annual Christmas party. Her friend Tara met Tony her coworker years ago at the party. Tony and Tara started dating, and they got engaged.

“They got married This spring. We didn’t get invited,” she explained. “[We] We have known them for years. They were both introduced to us, and we literally saw their engagement announcement at my. home.”

This year, she didn’t invite Tony and Tara to her Christmas party. It was clear to her that Tara and Tony were not invited to the Christmas party.

“They think I’m being petty,” she wrote. “A couple friends mentioned it was a smaller wedding and they feel like I’m just punishing them.”

However, the wedding had over 200 guests. Reddit At least 50 were known to poster.

“You can invite and not invite whoever you want without any reason,” a person said.

“If you’re not close enough to make it to the wedding invite list, why should they be close enough to you to make it to your Christmas party?” another wrote.

“We don’t have to prioritise people who don’t prioritise us,” a TikToker commented.
