Wisconsin RB Braelon Allen named a preseason All-Big Ten RB by SIS

SIS, a top sports analytics company that many NFL teams utilize, recently named Braelon Allen a preseason All-Big Ten running back.

SIS also mentioned they felt he was a bit underrated last season as Wisconsin didn’t have the best year overall and other Big Ten running backs stole some of his shine.

That underrated season was still an impressive one from the rising junior back, who burst onto the scene in his freshman season during the middle of the year.

Allen has eclipsed 1,200 yards in each of his two seasons as a Badger, averaging 5.4 yards per carry and totaling 1,242 yards last season to go along with 11 touchdowns on the ground and 104 total receiving yards.

His freshman season was as impressive as it gets for a debut campaign, as the Fond Du Lac native averaged 6.8 yards per carry, scored 12 times on the ground, and put up 1,268 rushing yards.

We will see what year three will bring for the talented Badger State native.
