Netflix cancels Uncoupled after 1 season
Some relationships are not meant to last.
UncoupledThe funny rom-com series that stars starring Neil Patrick Harris EW reports that Netflix cancelled the series after one season. The show was about a man trying to get back into New York City’s dating scene following a breakup.
The news comes six months after the show — which stars Harris, Tuc Watkins, Tisha Campbell, Brooks Ashmanskas, Emerson Brooks, and Marcia Gay Harden — first premiered on the streaming platform on July 29.

Created by Darren Star (Sex and the CityJeffrey Richman () and Michael Harris (Harris). The series revolves around Michael (Harris), who is a luxury agent and happy with his 17-year relationship to Colin (Watkins )… up until their sudden breakup. Tossed back into the dating pool, Michael must learn to sink or swim — and correctly send dick pics — if he wants to find love again.
Kristen Baldwin, EW critic, called the series “a very good series.”a smartly crafted snack of a rom-sitcom,” adding, “The writers balance out borderline-silly b-storylines with authentic sentiment about relationships — especially the importance of friendships as we age — and the pacing is about as clean and efficient as it gets.”
Fans will find it difficult to accept the series’ cancellation. Uncoupled It wrapped its first season on a dramatic cliffhanger. Michael and Colin were reunited at a marriage. Colin admits to having made a mistake by asking for separation. The pair will now have to decide if they want to get back together.
Uncoupled isn’t the only series Netflix has canceled in recent weeks — it also shuttered its German mystery series 1899 And spooky young-adult show The Midnight Club.
While Uncoupled Star’s other Netflix series may have not made it to the final cut. Emily in Paris Is still moving forward. French rom-com staring Lily CollinsThe third season of, which premiered last month, was greenlit for a fourth.
