Ukraine reports Russian missile strike that was’massive’

KYIV (Reuters – Ukraine reported a new Russian missile strike Thursday morning. Multiple blasts were heard in various cities and the authorities claimed that they were caused by air defense systems shooting down incoming missiles.

Oleksiy Arestovych, presidential office adviser, posted on Facebook that more 100 missiles were coming in multiple waves and that air raid alarms could still be heard throughout the country.

According to Reuters correspondents and local media reports, blasts were heard in Odesa and Zhytomyr.

Power cuts were announced in Odesa and Dnipropetrovsk to reduce potential damage to energy infrastructure.
