In Week 17, Eagles lose 20-10 to the Saints

The Eagles have botched clinching scenarios After a devastating loss to the Saints, they find themselves in a crucial matchup in Week 18.

Philadelphia trailed the Saints 13-0 at halftime It looked like they had captured the momentum. In the fourth quarter, cornerback Marshon Leighmore returned a Gardner Minshew pass intercepted by Marshon Lattimore 11 yards for an touchdown.

The 20-10 loss is the end of the Eagles needing a win at home against the Giants In Week 18, in order to secure both NFC East’s top seed and NFC East championship.

Losses in Philadelphia and Dallas could put the Birds at the fifth seed overall. This would place them on the collision course with Tampa Bay’s Buccaneers for the Wildcard round.

With a long week of preparation ahead, here’s a look at the studs and duds from Sunday’s loss.

Steichen will ruin his chance at a head coaching position by using poorly written game plans in the past two weeks.

Philadelphia had 15 total rushing attempts, despite being only 10 and 13 point behind throughout Sunday afternoon. With Jalen Hurts out of the lineup, Eagles coaches did a poor job of scheming to get their best players involved offensively and we’re now in a must-win situation heading into the season finale.

Worse, the season’s finale saw little offensive efficiency.
