Starbucks Adds a New Pistachio Cream Cold Brew to the Winter Menu — and We Tried It
Starbucks
Starbucks’ famous red cups Pistachio may be out of season, but it’s still in.
On Tuesday, Starbucks unveiled some new and returning items to their winter menu. This included the pistachio lattes, which are back for the third consecutive year. Starbucks has also introduced a new beverage with the same warm, nutty flavor but in a cold beverage: The pistachio cream cold drink.
PEOPLE was able to get a sneak peak of the new brew and found it refreshing, but slightly more rich than the original pistachio offerings.

It’s made with Starbucks’ cold brew coffee, which is sweetened with vanilla syrup. The cream foam is topped off with a salted brown butter sprinkles, and a creamy pistachio cream. The cream foam has a rich, almost butterscotch-like texture that compliments the bitter flavors of cold brew.
You can still get the original pistachio latté hot or cold, as well as a frappuccino. Hot latte is the best tasting latte, with the coffee and pistachio flavors balanced out. The original cold latte gives you a subtle nutty taste with every sip.

Starbucks has more to offer than adding new beverages to its after-the holidays winter menu. Red velvet loaf will be back on the bakery shelves. This slice is a marbled cake topped with red velvet and vanilla cake. For a sweet winter treat, it’s topped off with white chocolate icing.
Starbucks may be all about pistachio this winter but Dunkin’ keeps their customers warm with their brown butter toffee lattes. Dec. 28 saw the release of the caramel drink in stores.
