Samsung’s QD-OLED TVs 2023 will be able to reach up to 2,000 nits peak brightness

Samsung’s QD-OLED TV range was launched last year at CES It promised a brighter OLED TV with a greater brightness than rivals LG OLEDs, especially its arch-rival LG. But it was only slightly brighter that LG OLEDs back then. Now, Samsung Display has announced Its 2023 QDOLED TV lineup will reach a peak brightness of 2,000 nits, surpassing LG and possibly approaching Mini-LED TVs, according to some reports. This is due to the new QD-OLED panel from Samsung Display. It uses a new “HyperEfficient El” OLED material and Samsung’s IntelliSenseAI. Samsung Display says that these TVs will be less energy-intensive and have more accurate colors.

New TVs will be available in a greater variety of sizes. You’ll now be able to buy 49-, 55, 65-, 65 and 77 inch TVs, unlike the 2022 S95B which was only available in 55 and 65 inches. Other features have not been announced by the company, but you can expect Tizen OS and HDR10+ (and possibly not DolbyVision once more), along with Bixby Alexa, SmartThings, and Bixby. The pricing and availability of the products have not been announced, but we will be learning more at CES 2023.
