Sabonis triple-doubles, Kings skid Rockets

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Domantas Sabonis recorded his fourth triple-double of the season and the Sacramento Kings beat the skidding Houston Rockets 139-114 on Friday night for their third straight win.

Sabonis had 19 points, 16 assists, and 15 rebounds for the Kings (23-18). This was the Kings’ first win over.500 since 2006.

Harrison Barnes scored 27 points and De’Aaron Fox added 24.

Malik Monk (left), Chimezie Metu and Tari Ason were all expelled at 11:09. After Monk was fouled during a fast-break, Matthews and Monk met face-to-face.

Jalen Green scored 27 for the Rockets (10-32) who have lost nine games in succession and 14 of their previous 15. Jabari Smith Jr. scored 27 points and grabbed eight rebounds.

Rockets: G Kevin Porter Jr. was out with a bruised left ankle.

Kings: G Kevin Huerter of Kings was out for the second consecutive match due to a non COVID-19 illness. Terence Davis played in his place and scored 22 point.
