Packers lose RT. Yosh Nijman because of a shoulder injury vs. Dolphins

Green Bay Packers have to make an adjustment in-game on Sunday, February 20th due to injury to their offensive line.

Yosh Nijman, starting right tackle, was injured in the shoulder and is not expected to return. To replace Nijman at right tackle, the Packers used Royce Newman, a second-year offensive lineman.

Newman, a fourth round pick in 2021 played three snaps during his first drive, before the Packers made a fake kick on fourth down.

Nijman is now in his third year with the Packers and has started 11 games, nine of them at right tackle.

Last season, Newman was a rookie and played 16 games at right-guard.

The Packers have already lost their starting left tackle David Bakhtiari. He is currently recovering from an emergency appendectomy. Zach Tom, a rookie, is at left tackle.

For the Packers offensive line, currently, from left to right are: Elgton Jenkins and Josh Myers, Jon Runyan Jr., Newman, and Jon Runyan Jr.

Defensive lineman Dean Lowry is also out of the Packers’ lineup. He has a calf injury and it is unclear if he will be able to return.
