The QB slot at Pac-12 is deep and well-stocked heading into 2023
2021 saw the Pac-12 neglect its quarterback position. The QB position was not ideal in Washington, Oregon, or USC.
All that changed a year later.
Bo Nix enjoyed a great year in Eugene in 2022. Michael Penix’s NFL-level throws lit up Seattle. Caleb Williams was the only person who won the Heisman Trophy at USC.
None of them won the Pac-12 championship. That’s what Cam Rising did. It was a strong year for Pac-12 quarterbacks, and it’s only going to get better in 2023.
Caleb, Nix and Penix will be returning. Deion Sanders’ son Shedeur Sanders will be accompanying Shedeur to Colorado in a Ralphie portal stampede. Also, we need to know if D.J. Drew Pyne and Uiagalelei could also be big-time quarterbacks at Oregon State.
It is becoming more common for Pac-12 quarterbacks to play. This was discussed with Mark Rogers, The Voice of College Football.
