Brooklyn Nets guard Ben Simmons has a big season ahead of him as he is looking to prove that he can remain healthy during a contract year for the former NBA All-Star. With the start of the 2024-25 season just weeks away from now, Simmons may just be getting started when it comes to his preparation.

In a couple of Instagram from NBA trainer Chris Brickley, he has been singing Simmons’ praises in terms of how he looks prior to training camp kicking off in just a couple of weeks from now. Brian Lewis of the New York Post reported last week that Simmons has been officially cleared for 5-on-5 work, which is good news given that Simmons has been recovering from surgery on a nerve impingement in his back.

“Ben Simmons is back to playing All Star talent level basketball. Big season loading,” Brickley wrote in one of his posts about Simmons. All of the pictures in the post are showing Simmons performing various actions that a basketball player would be expected to do in training, such as shooting jump shots and dribbling. Brickley also posted a reel to show what Simmons looks like executing these actions on the court.

In all, plenty of Nets fans are probably reading this article and looking at these Instagram with an understandable level of skepticism given that Simmons has played in just 57 games over the past three seasons in Brooklyn. However, for a rebuilding Nets team, Simmons being healthy would be great for all parties involved, especially since he still showed his unique ability to make plays for others even while dealing with back injuries at the same time.
