NBA suspends Pistons’ Killian Hayes 3 games; Magic’s Moe Wagner 2 after fight

After Wednesday’s fight between the Orlando Magic and Detroit Pistons, the NBA issued a lengthy list of suspensions.

Killian Hayes, Pistons’ guard, was suspended by the league for three games due to his involvement in the altercation. Moe Wagner (Magic forward) was given a two-game suspension for starting the brawl and pushing Hayes out from bounds with an hip check.

Hamidou Diallo (Cole Anthony), R.J. Hampton and Kevon Harris were suspended for one-game. Wagner was shoved during the fight by Diallo, and all the other fighters fled the area.

The eight Magic players suspended for leaving the bench are going to serve their suspensions in a staggered manner.

Wagner and Hayes were trying to find a lost ball in the backcourt on Wednesday night when Wagner knocked Hayes onto the Pistons bench. Hayes quickly responded and punched Wagner in the back of the head — which sent Wagner falling hard straight down into the bench while a much larger altercation broke out behind him.

Wagner, Hayes, and Diallo were removed from the game.

The Pistons defeated Magic 121-101.
