MediaTek Expands IoT platform with Genio 700 to support Industrial and Smart Home Products

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 2, 2023 /PRNewswire/ CES 2023 – Ahead MediaTek Today, Genio announced the new chipset for its IoT platform, the octacore Genio 700, which is designed for smart home, smart shopping, and industrial IoT products. MediaTek will showcase the new chipset as part of a demonstration at CES 2023.

The MediaTek Genio 700, a N6 (6nm IoT chipset, is focused on power efficiency. It has two ARM-A78 cores that run at 2.2GHz and six ARM-A55 cores that run at 2.0GHz. Additionally, it provides a 4.0 TOPs AI accelerator. The device supports FHD60+4K60 displays and an ISP to provide better images.

Designers can customize products with Yocto Linux or Ubuntu using the Genio 700 SDK. Customers can create their own products easily with this support, regardless of the application type.
