Louise Trotter leaves Lacoste after 4 years as Creative Director

Louise TrotterWho joined? Lacoste In 2018, the brand’s creative chief, has left the French fashion label.

Trotter made her Lacoste debut in February 2019, during Paris Fashion Week. She succeeded Felipe Oliviera Baptista. Throughout her tenure, the creative presented everything from minimalist garments to René Lacoste-inspired collections celebrating the heritage and tennis-focused DNA of the company.

“I feel most honored to have served Rene Lacoste’s legacy, whose sporting values and I will carry with us,” Trotter said. Trotter said that she was happy to have joined the unique brand that perfectly combines avant-gardism with heritage. WWD. Lacoste’s president Thierry Guibert additionally shared his appreciation for the designer’s “creativity and commitment and for her contribution to the brand’s legacy.”

Trotter’s final runway show was September 2021. Spring/Summer 2022 Lacoste has never presented a runway presentation since the beginning of season. Following that, Lacoste’s former creative director presented collections at Paris Fashion Week via intimate presentations.

It is unknown at this time where Trotter is going after her time with Lacoste.
