Liverpool CONFIRM loan departure of ‘super talent’ who Jurgen Klopp LOVED

Liverpool youngster Owen Beck will move to Blackburn Rovers on loan for the remainder of the season, Liverpool have announced.

Liverpool officially announced the departure of the youngster earlier this evening.

Beck has spent the previous two campaigns out on loan at Bolton and Dundee and has seen multiple clubs from across Europe interested in signing him this summer.

Beck will become the fifth Liverpool player to move on loan to the Lancashire club in as many years and will join fellow Welshman Lewis Koumas on loan in the Championship.

Who is Owen Beck?

Beck impressed last season on loan at Dundee and seems to be on an upwards trajectory, moving from League One to the Scottish Premiership and now to the Championship.

His performances in Scotland last year led to interest from both Celtic and Rangers this summer and Beck has been capped 14 times for the Wales U21 team.

Beck, who is the great-nephew of Liverpool’s all-time top goal scorer Ian Rush, was described by Jürgen Klopp as a “super talent” and has already made three senior appearances for Liverpool.

Liverpool’s loanees

Beck will become the seventh player to leave Liverpool on loan this summer joining the likes of Koumas and Luca Stephenson, but more of Liverpool’s young prospects are being linked with moves away from Merseyside.

Stefan Bajčetić has been linked with a move to RB Salzburg where he would join former teammate Bobby Clark under new manager Pep Ljinders in the Austrian Bundesliga.

Ben Doak and Tyler Morton also look like they could be nearing Liverpool exits, although it is currently unclear whether loan deals or permanent moves are more likely for the pair.

Liverpool’s new head coach Arne Slot has a great deal of talent in his Liverpool squad but he also inherited an academy bursting with future prospects. It seems that the solution at Liverpool will continue to be loaning out youngsters in order to let them gain first team experience, a plan that has worked brilliantly for Harvey Elliott, Jarell Quansah and Conor Bradley who all now frequently feature in Liverpool’s first team.
