Klay Thompson is gone for 54. Warriors win at-home. Again.

Three Things To Know is NBC’s five-days-a-week wrap-up of the night before in the NBA. Check out NBCSports.com Every weekday morning you can catch up on all the news, drama and dunks from the NBA.

1) Klay Thompson For 54, Warriors You can win at home. Again.

The Warriors have become insanely split on home-road:

• Road: -9.6 net rating and a 3-16 record
• Home: +8.7 net rating and a 16-2 record

That 16th home win came because we had a vintage Klay Thompson game — 54 points with 10 made 3-pointers. It was a welcome throwback to pre-injury Klay (unless you’re a Hawks fan).

Even with Thompson’s huge night, it took 2OT and a wild game for the Warriors to get the win — this team does nothing easy. The Warriors held a 21-point lead but still needed a Donte DiVincenzo 3 at the end to make OT legal

The Warriors kept firing away — a team-record 59 3-point attempts. Draymond Green None of the first 57 were taken, and then this.

Despite all this, it looked like the game was headed for a third OT. The Hawks continued to score led by Trae Young‘s 30 (on 8-of-22 shooting), but then Kevon Looney You have won the game.

For Warriors teams that need every win Stephen Curry still sidelined (shoulder)They won five straight. They have to play their home games. The Warriors still have two home games before going on the road, so they are trying to accumulate wins while they can.

2) Donovan Mitchell Unlocks 71 Bulls

As of Monday night, there had been more than a dozen 50+ NBA games.Luka Doncic Three of them, including one night with 60 points.

Donovan Mitchell raised the bar — he put up 71 on the Bulls Monday night.

Mitchell scored 13 points in overtime to reach 71. However, the game was relegated to overtime when he made the shot of the evening, executing the missed free throw with :03 remaining to tie the game.

Mitchell shot 22-of-34 overall, 7-of-15 from 3, got to the line 25 times, and dished out 11 assists (he accounted for 99 of the Cavaliers’ 145 points). Mitchell’s 71 points are a career record and the Cavalier’s most ever scored in one game.

The Bulls received 44 points from DeMar DeRozan 26 Zach LaVineThey keep losing, however.

3) Nets Durant and Irving both win 12 consecutive wins

You know you’re big time when Kylian Mbappe shows up to watch you play.

The Nets are big right now. Their win streak has reached 12 with a win over the Spurs, which was 139-103. Mbappe, Brooklyn’s crowd and Nets fans made this a Nets highlight.

Durant presented Mbappe with his jersey after the game.

We can talk about the Nets’ title chances or Kevin Durant‘s MVP case another day, there’s a lot of season left. Nets fans should just enjoy the ride.

BONUS TRUTH TO KNOW: LeBron scored 43 points on the Hornets and, at 38, he held his own private dunk competition.
