Peter Jackson, a young up-and-comer in Hollywood, could have made it to Hollywood quite differently.

Corden talked to Josh Horowitz, host of Happy Sad Confused, about the role that was never played.

Corden answered the question “Is this true?” and confirmed that he tried to get a seat in Middle-earth.[The audition was] It’s not good. Every single person auditioned for Lord of the Rings in London. Everybody! Samwise was my audition and I was kinda, I was doing it Josh! I did the accent and all.”

Corden gave his rendition of Samwise’s West Country accent for the franchise.

He explained: “Two of my other friends went in, and then we all got called back the next day, and then we got called back the next day… and then none of us got called back after that!”

Actor eventually took the role. Sean AstinLord Of The Rings created a legacy, now including a prequel series Lord Of The Rings The Rings Of Power.

Rings Of Power The second season of the series has been renewed, and is expected to return in 2024.

Astin was first made famous in The Goonies’ 1980s. He has since appeared in numerous shows including Stranger Things, The Big Bang Theory and 24.

Corden confirmed that he would be leaving The Late Late Show at summer 2023. This will end an eight-year-long tenure of The Late Late Show.

He is believed to be planning to relocate his family to the UK after having lived in Los Angeles during this time.
