Jake Paul signs a contract to join the Cleveland Browns

Social media superstar Paul has added another business venture to his portfolio. The influencer will not be able play on the AFC North third-place team’s field, but will instead use his social media skills for the team. Paul made a surprise Instagram post on December 23 teasing that he would join the Browns. The picture shows him posing next to JW Johnson, the team’s Executive Vice President. Johnson can be seen holding up the jersey that bears Paul’s initials, prompting speculations about Johnson’s next move. Paul included a video of Johnson and Johnson talking face-to-face about a contract in the same post. Paul can be heard saying, “Crazy news, guys! I got a contract for the Cleveland Browns.” Johnson replied, “We’re excited.” [We] We can’t wait for you to come to us today to sign your contract. And we are excited to have you as a member of our team.

The Browns later took to their Instagram account to officially announce the Cleveland native’s inclusion in their team during a press conference. Paul entertains the crowd by sharing his long-held dream to play in the NFL. Meanwhile, the EVP clarifies that Paul was only being added as a member of the social media team. The YouTuber is disappointed, but he signs the contract as “junior content assistant” for the team.

Paul is still working towards his dream of becoming a professional boxer. He has a current boxing record of 6-0 with four wins coming from knockouts.
