Two Palestinians were killed in a car accident when Israeli troops opened fire on them

JERUSALEM, (Reuters) – Israeli troops were shot at by a car in the occupied West Bank, and came under fire on Saturday, killing two Palestinians.

Two Palestinian men, aged 23-years-old and 24, were killed in an attack on their homes near Jenin. These attacks occurred in areas of the northern West Bank, which has seen increased raids by Israel after the recent spate of attacks on its streets.

Palestinians want the West Bank to become a state. U.S.-sponsored negotiations with Israel regarding this goal came to a halt in 2014.

According to the army, there were no Israeli casualties in Saturday’s incident.
