Patidar, the co-founder and CEO of Zomato Indian food delivery company Zomato, has resigned

BENGALURU (Reuters), -Zomato Ltd reported Monday that Gunjan Patidar, co-founder and chief technology officer of the company, had resigned after more a decade working with Indian food delivery service firm Zomato Ltd.

According to a stock exchange filing, “Patidar was among the few Zomato employees and built the core tech system for the company.”

His resignation follows a series of high-profile departures at the company over recent months, including Mohit Gupta’s departure as vice president of global development Siddharth Jawar and deputy chief financial officers Nitin Savara.

Zomato did not provide any explanation for Patidar’s resignation. However, it has seen its quarterly losses shrink in the last two quarters. In the September quarter, its food delivery business’ gross orders values – which is the total amount of all food delivery orders placed on Zomato’s platform – jumped 23% over a year ago.
