Georgia investigators push to identify ‘Baby Jane Doe’ whose body was found on Ware County dirt road

Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is launching a new campaign to identify a little girl who was found dead on a Ware County dirt track more than 30+ years ago.

GBI shared information about “Baby Jane Doe” on social media on Thursday.

While no one knows her identity, someone made great efforts to hide her body in 1988.

Investigators claim that the little girl was approximately three years old. She died two months before her body, which was found in a wooden container on the side of the road, was discovered. Carol Schweitzer, with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children Telled Action News Jax in 2015 A trucker discovered the box northwest of Waycross on Duncan Bridge Road, Millwood.

New images were released of Baby Jane Doe in 2017. Action News Jax was told by the GBI that she was wearing a brown baby blanket that had been wrapped in a bag made of cement and then placed inside a suitcase that was filled with cement. The suitcase was then placed into a cabinet that contained a TV console at an illegal dumpsite.

GBI stated Thursday that she had pierced her ears. She was seen wearing thermal bottoms and a white pullover sweater, with a pink pony symbol.
