Everything We Know About Season 3 of ‘Loot’

The popular Apple TV+ show Loot, helmed by comedian Maya Rudolph, was renewed for a third season in July of 2024. Rudolph serves not only as the series’ lead, but as the executive producer of the show, which was created by Alan Yang and Matt Hubbard.

“We are thrilled to come back for a third season! We’re extremely fortunate to spend more time with our talented cast and crew,” she said in a statement with executive producer Danielle Renfrew Behrens. “Making this show with Apple TV+ has been a joy, and we can’t wait to reunite with our Loot family.”

Here’s what we know about season three so far.

What will season three of Loot be about?

Rudolph plays Molly, a woman who receives a massive divorce settlement and decides to reinvest in The Wells Foundation, an organization she founded and forgot about while she was still married to her tech-billionaire ex-husband. The employees there are shocked by the new oversight and the first two seasons were a fun workplace comedy with a fish-out-of-water element.

The season two finale saw Molly and her assistant Nicholas, played by Joel Kim Booster, board Molly’s private jet after an awkward encounter with her colleague Arthur, played by Nat Faxon. The pair have had something of a romance brewing, which is apparently more than Molly can take after swearing off men forever. Season three will likely open with where she and Nicholas adventured off to and where she and Arthur stand.

Meanwhile, Sofia Salinas (Michaela Jaé Rodriguez), the actually business-minded executive director of the Wells Foundation, has her own romance to contend with after meeting Molly’s buddy, Isaac, a smooth architect played by O-T Fagbenle.

And there’s still the very public promise Molly has made to spend all of her money via the foundation, a job everyone is somehow struggling to see finished.

Who will be in season three of Loot?

Aside from Rudolph, it is expected that recurring cast Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Nat Faxon, Ron Funches, and Joel Kim Booster will all be returning. There are likely to be returning guest stars like Benjamin Bratt, Ana Gasteyer, Stephanie Styles, Meagen Fay, and O-T Fagbenle.

When will season three of Loot be released?

The first season premiered in the spring of 2022 and the second was released in the spring of 2024. There is no official announcement of a release date or production schedule just yet.
