Devin Harris’s smash sends Bates past Gettysburg to win men’s basketball

Dec. 31—DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — A Devin Harris dunk in the final minute put the exclamation point on Bates’ 75-68 men’s basketball win over Gettysburg College at the Daytona Beach Shootout on Friday.

Harris’s slam occurred with Bates still leading by 71 to 68 with 35 seconds left. Harris ended with 11 points to match Elliott Cravitz. Trace Gotham was next with 19 while Steph Baxter had 17.

Ryan McKeon was the Gettysburg’s leading scorer with 16 points. Carl Schaller was the winner with 14 points, while Akim Joseph finished in 12th.

Preston Maccoux was one the four Cardinals starters that scored in double digits during the victory over Beavers in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Marcoux scored 16 points, Nicky Johnson and Gabe Ravetz had each 11 points. Jared Langs was the last player to finish with 10 points.

Terion Moss, UMF’s leading scorer, scored 19 points. Jack Kane, Nathan Poulin and Nathan Poulin both scored 14 points in the defeat.

Jeniyah Jones led the Anchormen’s victory over the Bobcats, Albany, New York with 18 points.

Iszabelle booth won the game with 14 points. Antonia corsinetti was victorious with 12 points.

Meghan Graff scored 19 points, while Alexandria Long scored 16 in the loss.
