Long delay due to crooked rim in Celtics vs. Nuggets

Crooked rim causes lengthy delay in Celtics-Nuggets Original publication: NBC Sports Boston

Sunday’s game at the Ball Arena was interrupted by an issue with one of its rims. Boston Celtics And Denver Nuggets.

The game was delayed at 6:43 in the fourth quarter due to the rim becoming crooked following a dunk from C’s big man Robert Williams. It took approximately 35 minutes to resolve the problem, then five minutes for the players to warm up and resume the game.

Ball Arena workers couldn’t fix the problem so they replaced it entirely. Denver’s crowd was enthralled when the workers removed their ladders from the court.

The Celtics led 110-97 at the time.
