Browns DE Jadeveon Crlowney is back from concussion.

BEREA, Ohio (AP) — Cleveland Browns defensive end Jadeveon Clowney was back at practice Wednesday after missing one game with a concussion while starting left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. sat out with a back issue.

After suffering a head injury in December 17 against Baltimore, Clowney was unable to play in the New Orleans 17-10 defeat.

Coach Kevin Stefanski said Clowney is “getting better” as the Browns (6-9), who were eliminated from postseason contention with their loss to the Saints, prepare to face the Washington Commanders (7-7-1) on the road Sunday.

Clowney, who has had to slow down due to an ankle injury as well as the concussion has only two sacks so far this season. Alex Wright, a rookie, started in his place last Wednesday.

Wills was a first-round selection in 2020 and has played in all 16 games during his third season. Stefanski said Wills is “working through something” and indicated it’s too early to know if he’ll be available to play.

James Hudson could be an option in Wills.

Pro Bowl defensive end Myles Garret, left guard Joel Bitonio, wide receiver Amari Cole, and Joel Bitonio were all on stationary bikes during practice that was open to the public.
