Alex Wright, Isaiah Thomas and Chase Winovich were the Browns’ two most recent defensive ends drafted last year. However, Stephen Weatherly, Chase Winovich, Jadeveon, and Chase Clowney are all free to sign, so they will have to add one more in the NFL Draft or the open market for 2023.

John Johnson III cannot be saved at this time and will likely be released this offseason. Ronnie Harrison is also available as a free agent. Grant Delpit will be the last one to return.
Jammie Robinson is the perfect fit for the Browns as a Florida State safety. He can play in the box and over the top or in the slot. Robinson is a tough dog, and he will be criticized for his size.

The Browns linebacker room may not be in the best of health as it appears. Jeremiah Owusu–Koramoah won’t be leaving, Tony Fields II has proven that he can handle base defense responsibilities, and Jordan Kunaszyk, a restricted-free agent, can add depth to the Browns.
However, they do have three players who started games at MIKE, and all are ready to go on the open market. This is a room that can be run in Cleveland if the Browns re-sign only one of Sione Takitaki or Anthony Walker Jr.
The Browns have a plan for contingency beyond 2023 by adding Dorian Williams, a young throwback player.

Jaelon darden is the potential guy to lead the field horizontally as well vertically. After being claimed by Browns, Darden hasn’t been active in three weeks. In case Darden doesn’t turn out, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers add an experienced and versatile player.
While Ainias Smith suffered a season-ending injury in 2022 for the Texas A&M Aggies, there is no doubting his ability. He is a great wide receiver as well as a running back. He can run a decent route tree and shows a lot of explosiveness after the catch.
The Browns are looking to incorporate the air raid into their roster and adding another fast playmaker after Hyatt will only help.

Finally, in the seventh round, Browns add another safety, as they are set to lose two of their starters this offseason. The hard-hitting, downhill force DeMarcco Hellams can fill Harrison’s role in DIME packages, and provide depth for the Browns behind their starters.
