Bobby Wagner shares the things he most enjoyed about his time with the Seahawks

To close out the regular season, the Los Angeles Rams will face the Seattle Seahawks Sunday. Bobby Wagner will have the opportunity to meet his former team for the first time since he was drafted in the same year. Wagner will be playing in Seattle as the opposing team’s player for the first-ever time. He shared his most memorable moments with the Seahawks.

“I just think the love, to be honest, because even especially coming from Los Angeles, Ontario area to Utah to Seattle, that really became my second home and it’s a place where I grew up,” Wagner said. “I grew up in California, but really, 21, I was on my own, making my own decisions, doing my own thing. I didn’t have the parents controlling everything, that’s really where I grew up and they accepted me. They showed a lot of love and so I’m forever grateful.”

The Seahawks selected Wagner at 22 years of age in the second round 2012 NFL draft from Utah State. The Los Angeles native would play 10 seasons in Seattle and earn eight Pro Bowl bids, six All-Pro nods and a Super Bowl Ring.

The Seahawks loved Wagner as a linebacker and he was recognized as one of the best in the NFL. Wagner gave his all to Seattle, but the Seahawks let Wagner go after the 2021 season.

Wagner signed with Rams without hesitation. Wagner has demonstrated that he can still play at All-Pro level. Wagner recorded seven tackles and two sacks against the Seahawks in Week 13 of this season.

Wagner looks forward to playing before the Seahawks fans on Sunday, despite the ugly ending.
