Real-World Protection AV-Test consists in a long-term, four-month-long test to determine how well endpoint security software can protect against Internet-borne threats. Malware Protection Test is a test that requires products to detect any malicious programs that might be found on company systems. The Performance Test verifies that products don’t slow down the system and provide no protection. For each protection test, a False Alert Test is run to verify that endpoint protection software doesn’t cause large numbers of false alarms (false negatives).

The report also contains a detailed user interface review of each product. This gives you an insight into the product’s performance in common day-to-day management scenarios.
