ABU DHABI, UAE, Dec. 23, 2022 /PRNewswire/. Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2023 (ADSW-2023) is a global initiative led by Masdar and the UAE to promote sustainable development. It will include a series of high-level sessions that focus on the top priorities for sustainable development in advance of the United Nations Climate Change Conference. (COP28)The event will be held in Abu Dhabi from November 30-December 12,.

ADSW takes place starting January 14-19– under the title “United on Climate Action Towards COP28For a series of powerful dialogues on the transition towards a net-zero future, heads of state, policymakers as well as industry leaders, investors, youth, entrepreneurs and policymakers will gather at “,” to discuss key issues. Priorities for the global climate agenda will be discussed by key stakeholders. ADSW 2023 will shape the sustainability agenda, and help drive momentum towards COP28 UAE by convening and facilitating meaningful dialogue to foster consensus, groundbreaking partnerships, and innovative solutions.

ADSW 2023 will feature for the first time a Green Hydrogen Summit, hosted by Masdar’s green hydrogen business, highlighting its potential to decarbonize key industries – helping countries to achieve their net-zero objectives.

Earlier this month, Masdar formally announced a new shareholding structure and the launch of its green hydrogen business – forming a clean energy powerhouse that will spearhead global decarbonization efforts. Masdar, one of the world’s leading clean energy companies, is now well-positioned to take the industry to the next level and strengthen the UAE as an energy leader.

ADSW 2023, the first international sustainability meeting of the year will stimulate discussion and debate about climate action in the lead-up to. COP28. The ADSW Summit, hosted and held by Masdar, will take place on January 16, will address a broad range of important topics, including Food and Water Security and Energy Access as well as Industrial Decarbonization, Industrial Health, and Climate Adaptation.

ADSW 2023 also aims at engaging youth in climate action. The platform’s Youth for Sustainability will host the Y4S Hub. It aims to attract 3,000 youngsters. ADSW 2023 will also feature the annual forum for Masdar’s Women in Sustainability, Environment and Renewable Energy (WiSER) platform, giving women a greater voice in the sustainability debate.

As in previous years, ADSW 2023 will also feature partner-led events and opportunities for international engagement on sustainability-related topics, including the International Renewable Energy Agency’s IRENA Assembly, the Atlantic Council Energy Forum, the Abu Dhabi Sustainable Finance Forum, and the World Future Energy Summit.

The 2023 ADSW will also mark the 15th anniversary of the Zayed Sustainability Prize – the UAE’s pioneering global award for recognizing excellence in sustainability. The Prize has had a positive impact on the lives of more than 378 million people, with 96 winners in its categories of Water, Food, Energy and Global High Schools. Vietnam, Nepal, Sudan, Ethiopia, Maldives And Tuvalu.

The Prize has been a source of quality education, clean water, high-quality healthcare, energy and jobs for communities around the globe over the years.

ADSW 2023 will be home to over 70 start-ups and SMEs from a variety of sectors. This includes Masdar City’s global initiative Innovate which will display innovative international technologies.

Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW), a global initiative, was established by Masdar, the UAE’s clean energy powerhouse Masdar in 2008. ADSW, which has been in existence for more than 15 years, brings together heads, policymakers and industry leaders as well entrepreneurs and young people to discuss, engage and debate climate action. ADSW 2023 is a forum that facilitates meaningful dialogue and provides a platform for translating pledges into concrete outcomes for a net zero future. COP27 And COP28.

Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar), the UAE’s clean-energy champion, is one of the most important companies of its kind worldwide. They work to develop and deploy renewable energy and green hydrogen technologies in order to address global sustainability problems. Masdar was established in 2006.
