Smart posted a photo of himself behind his desk earlier in the week and wrote: Twitter: “Looking forward making my debut hosting [GMB] This Thursday and Friday [Charlotte Hawkins].

Gordon Smart was born March 31, 1980 in Scotland. He is a journalist and broadcaster with a long history.

Smart studied journalism at Edinburgh’s Napier University. He would start his career at Dundee Courier and Evening Standard.

He began his career as a coach of football and later moved to London, where he worked for The Sun and News Of The World from 2003.

He was promoted to deputy editor in May 2016, but he had already left The Sun by the end 2016

He has been a host of the weekday evening radio show since January 17th, where he was able to stay until 2020, when he became ill.

He was also a talkRADIO drive-time show host and hosts a podcast, Restless Natives, with Line Of Duty star Martin Compston.

Smart and his wife, Laurie, have been married since 2003. They have two children, Jimmy and Laurie.

Good Morning Britain announced that Smart will be joining the line up as a main presenter starting December 27.

“I’m thrilled that I’m joining the incredible stable of talent, both in front and behind-the camera on Good Morning Britain,” he stated at the time.

“So many of the issues facing the country right now are close to home and I’m relishing the chance to join the debate.”

His first episode, which aired on December 29, saw him join Charlotte Hawkins and admit to his nervousness about joining the panel. He said he felt “first stay at home” emotions.

“I feel like I’m the smartest girl in school, and I’m copying your homework. “I think I mistyped your name!” He laughed.

Good Morning Britain is broadcast weekdays at 6am on ITV.
