Scotty McCreery and Gabi Celebrate the First Christmas of their Son Merrick Avery with a Sweet Holiday Card

Scotty McCreery Capped off his banner year Celebrate his first Christmas as father.

In the sweet pic, the new parents have their son — whom they adorably refer to by his middle name Avery — positioned between them. They wore matching brown outfits for the family snap. Gabby wore a chocolate-colored dress, while McCreery wore a pullover sweater in a tan color.
The parents coordinated with their Christmas tree which was decorated with matching ornaments.

The holiday card is positioned on top a red gift bag while their dog, Moose McCreery looks directly at the camera. A glimpse at the back was also given by the family. It showed close-up photos of baby Avery.
He lies down next to the Christmas tree of his family and closes his eyes. In the other, he rests next to Moose. Avery’s 7-pound birth weight was included in the family. The text reads, “Sending love from my family to yours this Christmas season!” Love, Scotty, Gabby, Avery & Moose.”
They captioned the Instagram picture with “Favorite Christmas card yet”😁 @minted 🎄🎅🏻🎄.”

The new dad looked back at his year in 2022 as it came to an end. exclusive conversation PEOPLE interview with him after landing in Las Vegas for the first time since his son’s birth.
“This is my first time away from home since I was born. It was difficult to get to the airport to say goodbye to him. It really hit me this morn,” he shared.
He said, “Honestly, it was emotional.” Although it was a bit sad the first time, Avery had his best ever night of sleep. We slept for five straight hours, which was a good thing. It also helped Gabi, who was having her first day alone with the baby. Avery must have known what he did!
