Jamie Foxx’s daughter Corinne reflects on her dad walking her down the aisle after his health scare

Jamie Foxx was overcome with emotion as he walked oldest daughter Corinne Foxx down the aisle.

Corinne Foxx, who co-hosts the game show “Beat Shazam” with her dad, tied the knot with longtime boyfriend Joe Hooten Sept. 21 in California.

“I didn’t expect to cry up there, but the moment I saw Corinne and Jamie, who was also emotional, walking down that aisle, all bets were off,” Hooten told Vogue.

They got married in Jamie Foxx’s backyard, and the venue was “never a question,” the 30-year-old television personality said.

“We couldn’t think of anywhere more special than a home wedding. It just felt right,” she said.

Corinne Foxx walked down the aisle with her dad — a moment that was “incredibly special, considering his health scare last year,” she said — while a strings cover of Ray Charles’ “Georgia On My Mind” played.

“My dad won his Oscar for playing (Ray) in 2005. At 10 years old, I was his plus one and got to share that special moment with him. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house when we came down the aisle,” Corinne Foxx said.

Then when it was time for her first dance with Hooten, the couple swayed to “Lover” by Taylor Swift.

“Over the years, I have transformed Joe into a Swiftie. We even went to the Eras Tour together and I got him to dress up and wear friendship bracelets,” she told Vogue.

“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Garcelle Beauvais, who co-starred with Jamie Foxx on his ‘90s sitcom “The Jamie Foxx Show,” shared photos from the romantic ceremony to Threads.

Her first snap showed the beautiful bride standing at the altar in a white off-the-shoulder printed gown and lengthy veil. She stared into Hooten’s eyes as they held hands.

In another sweet moment, Jamie Foxx walked his daughter down the aisle and appeared to shed a few tears. At the reception, the Oscar-winner appeared still emotional during their father-daughter dance.

Beauvais also included pictures of the bride and groom smiling moments after they said “I do” and walked up the aisle. She caught up with the happy couple at the reception and the trio snapped a photo together.

During the reception, she reunited with Jamie Foxx, too. She uploaded two photos of them together, including one of them embracing.

“Last night we got to witness & celebrate the love of @corinnefoxx and @joe.hooten,” Beauvais wrote in the caption. “Your love & respect for each other is palpable.”

Corinne Foxx and Hooten got engaged in December 2023 after dating for years.

Originally, Hooten planned to propose in Ireland, but plans changed after Jamie Foxx got sick, the couple revealed to Vogue. In April 2023, Foxx was hospitalized after experiencing an undisclosed “medical complication.”

“We ended up spending our summer in Chicago while he recovered,” Corinne Foxx told Vogue. “Little did I know that Joe had changed his plans so he could still propose on the same day — just in a different city.”

Corinne Foxx shared the news of her engagement last year by posting a carousel of black-and-white engagement photos on Instagram.

“From the first time I saw you, I knew you were my forever,” she said in the caption.

Jamie Foxx re-shared the slideshow on his page and praised the couple.

“@corinnefoxx @joe.hooten you are a perfect example of what being in love is…. You care about each others life mental and physical… and you have each other’s back…” he said.

At the time, Jamie Foxx also (correctly) predicted that there would be plenty of happy tears on his daughter’s wedding day.

“I LOVE YOU BOTH DEARLY… I have my tissues ready,” he concluded.
