The New York Jets continued their 2024 NFL season with a 24-17 win over the Tennessee Titans in Week 2.

In any win, it was a team effort as a whole. Individually, usually certain players stand out. That was the case at Nissan Stadium on Sunday.

With that, here is Jets Wire’s stock report following the Jets’ (1-1) win over the Titans (0-2):

Stock up: RB Breece Hall

Hall didn’t have his best game rushing the ball again, however, he did average 4.4 yards per carry. His stock goes up for his impressive 26-yard touchdown catch from quarterback Aaron Rodgers. That gave the Jets their first lead of the game in third quarter, 14-10. New York did not look back.

Stock up: RB Braelon Allen

Meanwhile, Allen averaged 4.7 yards per carry and his rushing touchdown was impressive. He complimented the offensive line following the game, but the way he burst through the hole they created is exactly what he needed to do to get to the end zone for the game-winning score. Allen caught a touchdown pass, too.

Stock up: WR Mike Williams

New York Jets wide receiver Mike Williams (18) gets up after receiving a pass over Tennessee Titans cornerback Chidobe Awuzie (13) during the fourth quarter at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn., Sunday, Sept. 15, 2024.New York Jets wide receiver Mike Williams (18) gets up after receiving a pass over Tennessee Titans cornerback Chidobe Awuzie (13) during the fourth quarter at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn., Sunday, Sept. 15, 2024.

New York Jets wide receiver Mike Williams (18) gets up after receiving a pass over Tennessee Titans cornerback Chidobe Awuzie (13) during the fourth quarter at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn., Sunday, Sept. 15, 2024.

Head coach Robert Saleh said Williams would get involved in the offense more In Week 2 and he did. Williams had one catch, stock up for that, but it was a huge one which helped set up Allen’s game winner.

Stock down: CB Sauce Gardner

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Calvin Ridley (0) heads for the end zone pylon as New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner (1) tries to close during their game at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn., Sunday, Sept. 15, 2024.Tennessee Titans wide receiver Calvin Ridley (0) heads for the end zone pylon as New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner (1) tries to close during their game at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn., Sunday, Sept. 15, 2024.

How did the Titans get that touchdown catch from Calvin Ridley? Gardner, normally a stud, was uncharacteristically beaten for a touchdown by Titans wideout Calvin Ridley.

Stock down: HC Robert Saleh

Saleh said the defense would be better–But was it? It didn’t feel like we got an elite Jets defensive performance of the past. It was about average. A lot of help came from Titans quarterback Will Levis and his pretty clear mistakes. The QB had 192 yards passing but Tennessee had 130 yards on the ground.

Stock up: LB Quincy Williams

New York Jets linebacker Quincy Williams (56) recovers a ball fumbled by Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis (8) during the second quarter at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn., Sunday, Sept. 15, 2024.New York Jets linebacker Quincy Williams (56) recovers a ball fumbled by Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis (8) during the second quarter at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn., Sunday, Sept. 15, 2024.

Speaking of Levis, Williams took away potentially seven points from the Titans in a game that was a seven-point gap. Levis’ pretty ugly fumble was recovered by Williams in the red zone. A heads up play.

Stock down: DL Quinnen Williams

On the flip side, Quinnen Williams feels like he’s leaving something to be desired through the first two games of the year, Williams is not really getting much pressure in the middle of the defensive line, but in his defense, he’s nearly always double teamed. It’s not that Williams is playing bad, but we’ve seen better.

Stock down: LB CJ Mosley

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Tyler Boyd (83) is tackled by New York Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley (57) during their game at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn., Sunday, Sept. 15, 2024.Tennessee Titans wide receiver Tyler Boyd (83) is tackled by New York Jets linebacker C.J. Unfortunately availability is the best ability for a football team. A toe injury sidelined Mosely against the TItans. He did not return to the game but was on the sideline for the rest of the game still in his pads. It will be interesting to see what his status is during the short week ahead.

Stock up: Special teams

Special teams has its place, too. The Titans had a punt blocked for the second-straight game. Against the Jets, Irv Charles managed to get into the backfield and block a Ryan Stonehouse punt. It led to a field goal.

Stock up: DL Will McDonald IV

Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis (8) is sacked on third down by New York Jets defensive end Will McDonald IV (99) and defensive end Solomon Thomas (94) on third down with seconds to play in their game at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn., Sunday, Sept. 15, 2024. A three-sack game? This needs little explanation. McDonald was the Player of the Game.
