It’s not to be Debbie DownerUnfortunately, 2022 was another awful year for many. Despite the continued pandemic woes, wars, climate chaos, global civil unrest, and continuing pandemic woes there were plenty of heartwarming animal stories that gave us some hope.
We looked through our files again this year, and we came up with a list containing our 10 favourite stories. It includes tales—tails?—of unlikely friendships, a fighter plane, and a monkey named for a beloved star.
Maybe there were some bright spots in this year’s results.
A special needs chicken and a bulldog rescuer share a sweet bond
We are all suckers for interspecies friendships. But this special relationship between the two species is something we’re not willing to give up. bulldog Lucky and Gus, a special-needs chicken, make us feel warm. Chandler Coate, the adoptive pet mom of the pair, said she brought them together without much thought. At first, they were not sure about each other. Their relationship blossomed once Lucky realized that Gus was not a threat to her.
Lucky and Gus love to eat (amen), and Lucky goes with Gus wherever he goes. Lucky even mimics Gus’s barking behavior by clucking whenever he starts to bark. This story is so adorable, you must see it yourself.

After being lost in rural Alaska, a blind and elderly dog was reunited with his family
Lulu, a blind elderly woman, was taken in by her mother. golden retriever The Kubacki family, which is the clan of the missing pup, was worried about her disappearance in rural Alaska this June. But early in July, a construction crew spotted Lulu and after some R&R, she made a full recovery. Lulu received vet care from local residents, which was an amazing twist.

Feral Kittens Recovered from Cold War Fighter Jet

Felines love to snuggle up in strange and uncomfortable places. The T-33 kittens were found in a T-33 Shooting Star fighter aircraft from Cold War era. It was housed at Hickory Aviation Museum in North Carolina. A detachment of the local humane society was able catch the stowaways to help them find their furever homes.

Fake Titanic Trailer Makes Cat Lovers Wish It Was Real
Even the most sane among us can’t help but shed a tear for Kate is forced to let her beloved Jack sink The Atlantic close to the end Titanic. TikTok Takes Over a Pack of German Shepherds and Little Chicks
This was truly a magical year to be with canine and avian friends. It was a magical year for canine and avian pals. German shepherd A breeder decided to breech chicks. Their six-pack German shepherds opted to help them become part of the family. A video of the chicks and doggo-duos went viral. One video had over 5 million views. You’ve never seen a chick balanced on its snout with a dog.

Baby Betty White receives hands-on care in order to survive
The iconic icon was lost by the world on the last day in 2021. Betty White. Her legacy and unwavering love for animals lives on through the many baby animals she named in her honor in 2022.
The Houston Zoo’s Goeldi monkey, a baby Goeldi who was severely underweight, was one of them. Baby Betty required constant, attentive care from the dedicated zoo staff in order to make it through her first months of life. Although she was tiny, Baby Betty won the hearts of thousands and became a social media superstar overnight.

Hero Dog Ruby honored in Netflix Movie
Ruby, an Australian shepherd And border collie Mix, who was a mix of two things, struggled to get her life started. She bounced back and forth between many homes, and was deemed “unmanageable.” Ruby was looking for a way to channel her energy and a person who would help her reach her goals. Enter Cpl. Daniel O’Neil from the Rhode Island State Police. O’Neil provided Ruby with extensive training and gentle guidance.
The dynamic duo has saved three lives and tracked down many criminals over the past 10 years. They also helped to find missing persons. Ruby saved the teenage son of an animal welfare volunteer, who had been rooting for Ruby since she was a troubled little pup.
Ruby died in May. Her story and legacy can be seen in the Netflix film Ruby rescues Ruby.

Video: Cat Comforts Golden Retriever Puppy in Heartwarming TikTok Video
A break is something every mom needs, and Olive the golden retriever was no exception. The fur mom had a large litter of puppies and needed a break. Fig, her cat, was always available and ready to help. One of Olive’s puppies becomes upset and Fig jumps in to help. This video has been viewed more than 30.1 million times and is guaranteed to bring a smile on your face.

Cincinnati Zoo’s Penguin Parade Takes to the Streets
Who doesn’t love a good parade? Have you ever seen a penguin parade before? The Cincinnati Zoo’s king penguins were released earlier this year (under supervision, ofcourse) on the zoo’s walkways. This was much to the delight and amusement of the people who walked alongside them. You can also join the 23.7 million TikTok users who were there to share the joy of chilling among these penguins.

Ukrainian President Honors Extraordinary Terrier with Service Medal
It’s difficult not to sympathize with the story of Patron, a Russell Terrier who sniffed out explosive devices in war-torn Ukraine and was awarded a medal of honor. According to some accounts, Patron spotted more than 200 explosives in just a few months. Patron helps to educate Ukrainian children about safety in areas where land mines may be present, performs charity work and contributes furiously to Ukraine’s determination in its ongoing struggle.
