Dolphins move RB and OL ahead of the wild-card match

The practice squad has been a big help to the Miami Dolphins as they prepare for their Sunday afternoon matchup against the Buffalo Bills.

Miami elevated offensive lineman Lester Cotton and running back La’Mical Perine on Saturday.

Perine joins Jeff Wilson Jr. & Salvon Ahmed on the weekend’s active roster with Raheem Mestert out because of a broken thumb. Wilson and Ahmed have both been solid in their action this season, so it’s likely that Perine would only see the field if one of them were to go down.

Cotton’s elevation could spell trouble for the offensive line. Terron Armstead and Kendall Lamm, offensive tackles, are all in doubt with injuries. Left guard Liam Eichenberg is also questionable. recently downgraded from doubtful to out due to a hand injury.

Cotton was not an NFL guard, but he could replace Robert Hunt and Eichenberg to allow for one of them kick out to tackle.
